About Carol
Carol Simon is a uniquely qualified Mediator with over 20 years combined experience in mediation and legal concepts and practices as it applies to divorce and general law. Her interest in matrimonial
mediation developed while working where she now practices as a Matrimonial Mediator; at the Law Firm of
Arnold D. Cribari, Esq. a practice focused on collaborative, mediation, and litigation alternatives. Exposure to a kinder and more economical process motivated Carol to help couples struggling with the dissolution of marriage reach a fair and equitable settlement without the high cost and undue stress caused by litigation.
Carol is comfortable acting as a facilitator for couples, whose spousal roles are ending, helping them reach their own conclusions. Sensitive yet objective, she creates an environment for both parties to successfully negotiate an amicable divorce agreement. At a time when emotions can run high, Carol works closely with parents to limit their children's exposure to unnecessary stress and conflict and define parenting plans that are of maximum benefit to the children.
Carol has mediated custody and small claims matters for the Yonkers, White Plains and Yorktown court systems. She earned Certifications in Mediation from the Center for Mediation and Training in New York City and from CLUSTER, Inc. in Westchester County. She holds Bachelors in Social Work and attended Westchester Community College where she received a Paralegal Certification.

Carol T. Simon, Certified Mediator
“Carol does not charge a retainer, and her hourly rate was a small fraction of what most divorce lawyers or mediators charge. My former spouse and I are so grateful to Carol for making our divorce settlement economical for us in these current difficult economic times.”
